The CLiC Visual Learning System was approved by the NIC (National Interstate Council for
State Boards) in 2011. It is now an approved reference resource for cosmetology testing
as its references make up 33% of the Cosmetology State Exam and the Nail Technician
State Exam in all NIC testing states.
Most of the remaining states that do not currently use the NIC exam are including
and utilizing the CLiC Learning System content as an approved reference.
